ZARA'S MUST HAVE INTERVIEW WORTHY POWER SUITS THAT JUST HIT THE SHOPS

August 21, 2018

Nothing says power dressing quite like a chic, coordinated suit to help you turn heads and get the "She-Means-Business"  attention from your interviewer -fast!

As I'm sure you're aware by now, how you dress for your interview says a lot about you before you've even uttered a word to your interviewer. That's why it's worth taking a minute or two to carefully consider your interview outfit because believe it or not,  your look is all part of your Personal Branding , because looks are everything my friend - I hate to say it but that's how it is!

But thankfully, Zara's Latest Work Wear Collection seems to be the gift that keeps on giving, especially when it comes to suits and co-ords!

And here's the 5 power-dressing suits to consider before your next interview

1) BERRY-TONED DOUBLED BREASTED SUIT

ZARA Double Breasted Berry Toned Suit - Autumn/Winter 18 FASHION
ZARA Double Breasted Suit, Blazer €89,00 , Trousers 49,99

Nothing says Autumnal fashion quite like anything that's berry-toned, and this double breasted burgundy suit with  high waist wide-leg trousers featuring wide turn-up cuffs and invisible side zip fastening is worth considering, especially if you're going for an interview in a creative industry like Fashion, Journalism, Design, Or media industries. This suit screams of  effortless chic without being too inappropriate as an office attire.

2) THE RED V-NECK SUIT

ZARA Red V-Neck Suit With Jogger Waist Trousers

Obviously this suit is not for the faint-hearted given the plunging v-neckline! But even you have to admit that it's a statement piece altogether!
To make it a little bit more interview appropriate, I highly suggest wearing it  with a  pussy-bow blouse to make it a little bit more demure, or alternatively, opt for a white button-up shirt to make the entire outfit current and give it a slight androgynous feel, then finish off the entire look with a pair of white sneakers instead of heels.
This would then make this suit ideal for an interview in a start-up company, tech industry as dress code tends to be quite casual, or this could also be ideal for an interview in a fashion or creative industry!

3) THE GREY CHECK PRINT POWER SUIT

ZARA Grey Checked Blazer and Checked Trousers  with turn up hem

Just in case you didn't know, the grey check-print blazer is meant to be huge this Autumn/Winter 18! And rightly so as it's that one piece of clothing that's going to work over-time for your wardrobe in that you can pair it with a simple white t-shirt, jeans, and ankle boots with the sleeves rolled up to achieve that cool  off-duty vibe or chic date night look, or you can use the very same blazer as an interview outfit and pair it with those high waist wide-leg trousers featuring  wide turn-up cuffs for a more updated version of a grey suit and you'll have yourself a work-wear appropriate ensemble! I mean, the fashion opportunities are endless when it comes to this grey check print blazer co-ord!

4) LONG HOUNDSTOOTH BLAZER WITH BLACK PANTS

Houndstooth was a key print last Autumn/Winter, and it seems to be making a return this A/W18 again, and thank God for that because there's nothing more retro like a houndstooth print - so reminiscent of the 80S! ...And who doesn't like the 80s, right?
What i like about this one is that it's gotten a bit of an update in that unlike the classic black and white houndstooth, Zara has offered red, as a more updated version and I couldn't fault it!
This is perfect for a more traditional interview in a corporate environment. I'd pair it with a wide leg trouser, a black chunky belt, and medium-heel mules as opposed to court shoes!
