THE DO's AND DON'Ts AT YOUR OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY

Oh Christmas Parties....! Love them or loath them, they are that beloved yearly traditional office get-together that everyone in the office looks on with great anticipation during this time of the year.

You've all worked so hard during the year and this is the one time that you get to forget the stresses of keeping deadlines and so forth, and just let your hair down and party with your coworkers like there's no tomorrow!

It is that one event that is particularly talked about months afterwards, even after the event itself has long gone - this is that work even that you reminisce about who wore what, who left early and who got waaaaaaaaay too wasted!

But even as jovial and merry a Christmas Party can be, that is not to say that there aren't any unwritten rules to follow, particularly when it comes to an office Christmas Party.

Read on to find out the low-down on Office Xmas Party Etiquette.

RULE NUMBER ONE:

DO look  effortless and chic in a statement black dress, coupled with minimal accessories,  killer heels, and finished off with a daring red lip for just a bit of sexy!

RULE NUMBER TWO:

DON'T look trashy in a dress that is way too tight and way too short that you can't even bend over without your knickers showing! Remember, this is a work parry and not a night out on the pull with your friends.

RULE NUMBER THREE:

DO  treat this as a mini networking event with your other coworkers and DO remember to be social and go talk to  the guys from the other department, you never know, there could be a better position opening up soon that you might wanna be considered for, so mingling with others and creating new work-buddies might stand to your favor some day.

RULE NUMBER FOUR:

For the love of God, DO NOT, I repeat, DON'T hook up with the guy from the Marketing Department, because this is only going to come back and bite you in the ass!
Everyone's gonna know about it, it'll be talked about for months on end and, worse, it won't reflect favorably on you. So don't do it!

RULE NUMBER FIVE:

Even though this is a party, DO remember to uphold yourself professionally and remember that your boss might be keeping an eye on you.

RULE NUMBER SIX:

DON'T get waaaaaaaaay too drunk that your boss feels obligated to get you on the next taxi before it's even 11pm

RULE NUMBER SEVEN:

DO have fun and celebrate that all expense paid,  night out with your work buddies. I mean, how often will you drink a bottle of bubbly for free?!
So have fun!

  1. Haha I love this, it also reminds me of my work! Every year a few days before we have our Christmas party, there is always an e-mail sent out about the do and don'ts for attending the Christmas party.

  3. Oh the infamous Christmas parties. Where you see how everyone gets when they're drunk (except me of course). It's amazing how the DONT'S are always done at these events year after year. My thing is, I need to still be working there come the new year. Lol. I DON'T want people looking at me and remembering all the bad things I did the nights before! Thanks for this list!

  4. Amazing ideas to cope up with Christmas fun parties. My cousin booked one of the budgeted corporate events Chicago online from https://eventup.com/venues/chicago-il/ suggested by her friend. Her birthday party was full of fun and adventure. Played many games and danced on wonderful beats played by Dj.
