July 02, 2016

You guys, we're living in an age where Instagram is the Queen-B of social media profiling, and Snapchat is a just a necessity for snapping those candid behind the scenes moments of our lives and show everyone just how super awesome we are.

But what happens when that insta' shot is nothing short of disaster?

Well that's when any Instagram-novice may be forgiven because it really takes a bit of finesse to master the technique of capturing the most amazing shot that'll capture attention.

So, what are some of the 5 Instagram Photography Hacks To Remember When creating a perfect shot?

Read-on to find out...

FIRST INSTAGRAM STYLING HACK
Fist thing first, consider the lighting situation - the best time to take a shot is one hour before sunrise and one hour before sunset as lighting is at it's best during those times and won't create harsh any shadows.
So, make sure that the locale of your Instagram shot is close to a good natural light source so as to produce a stunning shot.

SECOND INSTAGRAM STYLING HACK

Secondly, you want to create a cohesive theme around your Instgram photo. So, for starters, think of the prevailing theme that your Instagram profile already has. Is it minimalist? Is it based around traveling, or fitness? Or is it perhaps around a color scheme, like monochrome?

If your Instagram doesn't have a theme yet, well you may want to start thinking of one as it's proven that thematic Instagram profiles are much more interesting to the viewer because there's a prevailing theme and a story behind the curated content.

So, make sure that you're able decipher what your theme is and how your next shot is going to tie-in to your already existing theme and story.

THIRD INSTAGRAM STYLING HACK
Now that you've thought of your theme, it's time to consider exactly what it is you want to highlight in the Instagram photo.

Is it that gorgeous handbag you just bought? Or your passport and that plane ticket because you're going travelling?

Think of the highlight piece(s) and the story that you want to convey from the shot.

FOURTH INSTAGRAM STYLING HACK
Now that you have the theme and the hero item you want to  highlight  in your Instagram photo, try to remember that simplicity is key! So, don't over-complicate the shot.

The best trick to remember when trying NOT to over-complicate your shot is to think of your white space in the photo.

There more white space there is, the less complicated, and natural your photo will translate.

So, when your busy putting all your pieces together and creating a scene for your shot, arrange all your items with ample breathing room so that they look chic and not cluttered!

FIFTH INSTAGRAM STYLING HACK
Bring something unique and different to your Instagram shots.

Yes, we all know that taking a shot of your adorable pup will get the most likes, but try to think of taking a photo that'll be unique or interesting unlike the hundreds of selfies your profile already has.

Because variety is the spice of life and posting the same thing over and over again may make your profile a little monotonous and your next photo you post a tad predictive.

So have fun with it and don't over-think it too much.
