Did you know that summer time's the best time of the year to boost your resume and increase your employability because it's usually the time where everything's a bit quieter and because of that,  employers aren't hiring as much as they would normally, which then makes it a great time of the year to build up your resume and up skill so that when demand in job opening arises again, yours will be the resume that recruiters gravitate towards the most because it's packed full of the stuff that any hiring manager wants to see in a potential employee.

So, get yourself a working visa abroad and feed your wonderlust while you're building your resume! Talk about a win - win situation!

This is the best time to create an online portfolio of works showcasing your skills and expertise 
Alright, if you're in creative industries like architecture, graphic design, or any form of design industry,  you'll need a platform to showcase your works in hopes of getting more work.
There are lots of free website templates put there which will make this somewhat cost effective,  all that you have to do is secure a domain name , and voilà,  you'll be good to go.



5. GET AN ALL-STAR LINKEDIN PROFILE RATING
Work on getting a  LinkedIn All Star profile strength. 
Having an all star LinkedIn profile always bodes well with recruiters and makes you appear as a skilled and competent  candidate and pretty much raises your profile up among the creme de la creme of your industry.



6. INVEST IN A DESIGNER RESUME
Gone are the days when a black and white 2 page word document resume was acceptable. These days,  your resume not only has to  speak of your abilities,  but it also has to look good too if you are to increase your chances of securing employment.
