5 MUST-HAVE KEY ITEMS IN CREATING THE PERFECT ALL WHITE HOME OFFICE.

December 06, 2015

Hey Faithful Reader! Happy Sunday to you!
I hope you've had a pretty awesome week and are taking it easy today and enjoying a nice chilled weekend before the Monday Grind hits again.
Speaking of Monday, I'll be  sharing the 3 ways to optimise  your resume this monday, so do check back with me 'cause I have amazing tips in-store for all you aspiring  #WorkingGirls out there.
But never mind that for now and let's get back to the matter at hand and instead, imagine walking into your very own  crisp, clean , white space so beautiful in its simplistic and minimalist form that you're compelled to start working and producing your best work yet, or even producing that resume you've been meaning to create, right  after reading my 3 ways on optimising your resume in tomorrows post of course!!
Well, that's the sort of space I'm hopefully going to show you how to create like a pro today!
Remember how last week I brought you a bit of design inspiration in the form of the "All White Office " Trend that's been reigning supreme on Pinterest?! [ if you missed it, check it out HERE.] And I promised  to bring you the 5 Must-Have items in  creating the perfect monochromatic office space?! .
Well,  as a girl who likes to keep her word, I hereby present  you with the 5 Must-Have items for creating perfect monochromatic office space all by yourself!
So what are these key items you ask?!
Well, here they are!

  • KEY ITEM NUMBER 1

    Josephine Desk
It's all about the desk -  period!
If you've caught up with Last Week's Post, you'll now know that desks take center stage in any monochromatic office space, but not just any desk, large statement office desks are the go-to pieces of furniture in any monochrome office as they tend to be slightly minimalist in nature.  Which means the desk becomes the focal point of the design as they are a key piece when creating an efficient work space.
So make sure you invest in a super cool desk on which to work from and one that you'll be proud of.
For me, it has to be this must-have Josephine Desk. This is my kinda desk

See how the lovely Rachel Purcell from Pink Peonies styled it HERE

    • KEY ITEM NUMBER 2

Next from that, it's about the chair!
The chair you pick has to provide these two functions: 1) It has to be functional, i.e. comfortable and easy to use! and 2) It has to be a statement chair, but it doesn't have to cost an-arm-an-a-leg! It just has to cleverly and uniquely illustrate your  design-sense as well as design disposition enough to make an impact! like this Kingston Wingback Armchair. I mean, how gorgeous is this?!

    • KEY ITEM NUMBER 3

next on the agenda is your wall Shelving.
Instead of having the old utilitarian wall shelves where all of your office junk goes on to, make this space work overtime for you by having it as your function & fun space. By that i mean, let is serve a purpose of storing your pretty little things as opposed to your ugly staplers, paperwork, etc. See this space as an opportunity to have fun and function working together as one like these well-thought out shelves below.

    • KEY ITEM NUMBER 4

    Lighting.
Studies suggest that a naturally lit office boosts productivity and mental acuity. So, if possible, choose a naturally well-lit space to from as this will enhance your productivity. But supplement this with soft artificial light as well, meaning a good light-source might be key.

    • KEY ITEM NUMBER 5
Then there's my favorite bit: The Finishing Touches, aka Accessories  with a capital "A"!
Accessories are key to any spacial design. It is what'll either make or break your entire look. So choose them wisely because carefully chosen accessories are where you can inject some of your personality and instill a bit of possess in your  work-space.
